Job Description

With a modern approach to accountancy and a passion for technology, Ballards provides a wide range of accountancy services across a variety of sectors.Due to business growth, we currently have a new opportunity for an Accounts Manager to join our Business Services team. Your role will encompass managing a portfolio of 4-1 grade clients on behalf of our partners, whilst managing a small team, ensuringtheir professional development.About the role:

  • Oversee a portfolio of clients, including reviewing draft financial statements, ensuring timely filing of year-end financial statements, and tax returns (both Corporate and Personal).
  • Elevate portfolio performance by aligning with department KPIs, driving efficiency and excellence in service delivery.
  • Assist in the development of team members, providing guidance and feedback to associates during training.
  • Manage and motivate junior team members across different experience levels, maintaining high work standards and helping them develop through regular appraisals.
  • Actively champion diversity and equality within our teams, ensuring an inclusive and supportive work environment.
About you:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified (QBE candidates may also be considered)
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Experience of working in a client-facing role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines
  • Experience managing a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams at various career stages
  • A passion for providing excellent customer service
