Based on a40hour week, workingMon- Friyou’ll be supporting our customer Office depot delivering a first class service.In addition to a standard salary of£21,840 this role has a holiday allowance of20days including bank holidays.COVID-19 precaution(s):

  • What your day will look like:
  • Collect and deliver parcels and packages on behalf of our customers and carriers.
  • Assist with parcel sorts in warehouse to meet efficiency targets.
  • Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor/Manager you will be responsible for ensuring our high standards of customer service are upheld whilst showing commitment to delivering your role with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Scan all goods on and off your vehicle and ensure all deliveries are accurately recorded
  • Ensure all company systems are used correctly and in accordance with instructions issued to monitor product movement effectively and provide accurate data for company records
  • Loading, unloading, preparing, inspecting and operating the delivery vehicle
  • Ensure all driving undertaken to meet microlise driving targets and meet best practice driving standards
  • Following delivery driving routes and time schedules
  • Check the quality of packed orders
  • Assemble customer supplies according to packing specifications
  • Load your vehicle safely and within legislation
  • Act as an ambassador for Menzies Distribution in every transaction you have with our customers
  • Develop process and procedure in conjunction with Managers to best provide support, development and improvement in the service provided
  • Demonstrate the right attitude and conduct yourself professionally all times
  • All contact with customers you should be courteous, professional and efficient
  • Demonstrate a desire to exceed customer expectations and deliver excellent standards of service
  • Develop & maintain relationships with all customers
  • Suggest resolutions or escalate complaints, as appropriate

  • What we need from you:
  • A full UK driving licence(essential)
  • Excellent driving skills
  • No more than 6 points on your licence
  • No previous disqualifications (DD,TT,DR,CD,IN)
  • Good local geographical knowledge of commercial addresses and streets
  • ‘Right To Work’ in the UK
  • Hardworking , positive and flexible attitude to work
