To assist with a variety of tasks relating to the smooth operation of the workshop areas. A significant portion of the role will focus on the building-up of small assemblies directly prior to laser welding.Other aspects of the role will include machinery preventative maintenance tasks and ensuring all company areas are superbly organised and clean/tidy.You will work as part of a small team and depending on progress will move onto using CNC controlled machinery and multi-axis industrial robots, lasers, and wire/powder feed systems.Materials include but not limited to engineering steels, Inconel, Tungsten, and erosion resistant variants. You will assist with others to complete the scope of practical work in the workshop areas.This exciting role will involve working closely with team members including highly experienced Project Engineers whilst reporting directly to the Managing Director.The Individual is going to need to be able to work as an individual & as part of a team, having some sort of Mechanical/practical (e.g. DIY) or electrical background desirable, and some or basic knowledge on conventional machining equipment (or similar).Prior conventional welding experience/knowledge would also be advantageous but definitely not essential.You will be a very keen learner and have the drive to help the company grow. IT skills are desirable for this position but not essential as all training will be supplied in house.
