Job Description

Senior Information Systems Developer Band 6 - full time fixed term post for 15 monthsRotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) has a strong record of providing excellent mental health, learning disability and Community services to local people by working with our partners and staff in a creative and innovative manner.RDaSH one of 23 Trusts nationally awarded central funding through the Digital Aspirant Programme. The aim of the investment is to advance local capabilities, accelerate digital maturity and drive system-wide digital transformation. RDaSH has collaborated with local Place and ICS partners to develop an ambitious digital transformation programme that will provide a step-change in local service provision and improve our ways of working, for both patients and staff.The post has been created to provide additional delivery capacity to projects that have been prioritised for investment as part of the centrally funded Digital Aspirant Programme. The Health Informatics directorate have an exciting opportunity for a highly self-motivated individual to join the Information Systems Development team to work on prioritised development projects.We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a record of delivering successful systems (web and database) within an Agile development environment. Experience in leading a team in developing systems and supporting projects to agreed timescales.The post-holder will;

  • Lead on creating a front-end to an existing large clinical archived database to provide support for historical subject access requests.
  • Work to agreed development timescales and report progress to project managers
  • Lead the existing team in an agile development environment aiming on a monthly release cycle.
  • The existing team have a mixture of skills in:
  • C# .Net
  • MS SQL
  • PHP
  • MySQL
  • WordPress
  • All candidates must be experienced in system development with good C# .NET/MSSQL skills and an excellent understanding of Object Orientated Programming, user-centric design and accessibility guidelines. Good CSS skills are also required.You should have the ability to cope in a busy operational environment and be able to prioritise your workload effectively. Currently all of the systems development team work from home and communicate/collaborate via MS Teams.
