Job Description

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Operative to join us at our site based in Doncaster. This is a full-time, permanent position (48 hours per week), working 12 hour shifts, days and nights, on 3 week shift pattern. In return, our Operative will receive a competitive salary and benefits.Originally founded as Prosper De Mulder Limited in 1926; SARIAs UK operations have a market-leading presence in a wide range of sectors associated with the food chain.The Groups companies manufacture quality products for use in human and animal foodstuffs, agriculture, aquaculture, and industrial applications. The company has a UK annual turnover approaching £280 million and employs around 1,000 people at 23 sites acrossthe country.As our Operative, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that all relevant Health and Safety Regulations are followed at all times
  • Working on a picking belt sorting through fresh and frozen meat products
  • Cleaning factory areas to maintain the standards expected within the plant
  • Undertaking general site housekeeping
  • Driving a Forklift truck and operate machinery to move produce
  • Completing any necessary paperwork
  • Any other duties as required by Management
What were looking for in our Operative:
  • Candidates should hold a Forklift Truck licence
  • Be comfortable working in a cold factory environment
  • Previous experience of working within a process industry would be advantageous
  • Be a strong communicator
  • Be able to work well individually and as part of a team
  • Be self motivated and able to manage own workload
