Job Description

A growing, Doncaster based business is looking for a Manufacturing Manager to ensure that quality, cost, delivery, and people objectives of the production plant are being met through world class performance in the areas of Production, Maintenance and ProcessEngineering.Along with the above, you will also be ensuring local legislation is being respected at all times, driving the continuous improvement process to lead the plant towards operational excellence and ensuring the smooth start-up of new products and equipment inthe plant.As a Manufacturing Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Actively participating in the annual budget process of the plant.
  • Frequently reviewing current state for operational indicators for the areas of Production, Maintenance and Process Engineering.
  • Gap analysis versus budget and drive of corrective actions to ensure objectives are being met on a constant basis.
  • Utilising adequate KPIs to manage the objectives and providing monthly reporting on time.
  • Guaranteeing a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
  • Supporting customer satisfaction though capable production processes, effective problem solving and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
  • Continuous interaction with other departments to ensure best practices are shared and applied through the operations area.
  • Driving the continuous improvement plan of the plant and support the strategy.
We are looking for a Manufacturing Manager who has the following skills and experiences:
  • A University Degree in a technical area (e.g., Mechanical Engineering or other relevant formal education.
  • Extensive operational and managerial experience within the production industry.
  • Proven successful people leadership skills.
  • Relevant industry experience especially related within the business; good foundation in Lean Production Principles and problem solving.
  • PC Knowledge/ProgrammingMS Office, Lotus Notes, SAP
