Role: Engineering Machinist Salary: £34,000 - £35,000 per annum, plus overtime and benefits Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am till 5pm and Friday 7am till 2:30pm Location: Commutable from Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Sheffield, Leeds, Worksop and surrounding areas CompanyA global manufacturer are currently looking for an additional member to join their highly successful and growing Team, within their Workshop, working on CNC and Manual lathes and mills. ResponsibilitiesThe job involves producing machined parts by setting up, and operating manual and computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Learn to work to strict safety and quality requirements and help to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity,optimizing efficiency and maintaining operational excellence. Machine parts to specifications using CNC and manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Vernier callipers Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines Study sample parts, drawings and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to manufacture products and determine product dimensions and tolerances Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matterRequirements Engineering background, apprentice trained or holding engineering qualifications.
