Job Description

Job Title: Contract Manager Location: Remote (Postholder will be required to come into the office based in Doncaster to collect equipment and for the induction)Hourly Pay Rate: £14.33 to £16.96 based on experience Hours: 22.5 per week Length of the contract: 1 year Gi Group are now seeking to appoint an experienced Contract Manager to our Public Sector client. The Contract Manager will be responsible for contract negotiation, management and oversight, and delivering against the requirements of a portfolio of contractswith clinical commissioning groups, local authorities, and other commissioners and providers. The postholder will be responsible for the management of the organisations processes with regard to legally binding contracts, including partnership agreements,service level agreements, and memorandum of understanding for their delegated portfolio. Duties of the Contract Manager

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and promotion of a robust contract management framework which is aligned to and underpins the strategic direction.
  • Responsible for the proactive management of an allocated portfolio of contacts to ensure organisational contract compliance. This will include the provision of advice on the possible contractual approaches that may be taken by the commissioners e.g., contractterms, incentives, and penalties to ensure they are utilised effectively.
  • Lead and coordinated the annual contract negotiation process with its commissioners for their allocated portfolio.
  • Responsible for the regular review and re-negotiation of contracts with commissioners, as required, including working with care group leads to ensure thorough preparation and attendance at all meetings to ensure a contract presence.
  • Develop relationships within care groups and corporate departments at appropriate levels to ensure that any relevant service delivery or contract compliance issues are escalated quickly.
  • Review and provided specialist contractual support to the care groups which will include updating documentation as necessary.
  • Coordinate responses and produce documentation in the event of any relevant consultations or contractual disputes.
  • Update documentation as necessary, in particular regard to ensuring that service specifications contained within contracts are clear, deliverable, reflect capacity, and are up to date.
  • Lead on drafting, agreeing, and implementing sub-contracts with providers to ensure contractual robustness and subsequently monitor the providers compliance with the terms of the contract.
Role Criteria
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in a contract management role.
  • Experience of identifying and interpreting national policy.
  • Experience of proactive contract management.
  • Experience with drafting, agreeing, and implementing contracts.
  • Experience of influencing people who are not directly line managed to act.
  • Experience of producing and presenting reports to a range of audiences and tailoring communication techniques accordingly to ensure understanding.
  • Specialist knowledge of Public Sector standard contract management and contractual requirements.
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge of negotiating and drafting contract management documentation.
