Job Description

Reed is currently recruiting for a Business Support Officer based in DN1. This is a temporary based role to ensure the provision of an effective and efficient business support service for the Doncaster Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (DSCP) and DoncasterSafeguarding Adults Board (DSAB).This is a hybrid role.Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To deliver effective and efficient engagement with senior partner representatives, practitioners and professionals and the public at all levels of the safeguarding agenda
  • To provide highly effective systems and processes to support complex and sensitive information including extensive project support of Rapid Reviews and Local Safeguarding Child Practice Reviews, working on sometimes extremely strict national deadlines.
  • To maintain accurate records including work of a confidential nature and produce monthly statistical reports as required by the partnership
  • To support the Safeguarding Business Unit Manager/ Deputies with the development and maintenance of robust governance arrangements.
  • To provide administrative support for events including conferences, workshops, Board Development days and ad hoc training events.
  • To support the training function on Buy Doncaster and Virtual College to support learners and to provide statistical information around compliance with training undertaken.
  • To support the child death overview panel (CDOP) process including processing new child deaths (It is recognised the nature of this work can be emotive and potentially distressing)
  • To undertake financial administration including ordering and processing of invoices using the Council’s financial system.
  • To maintain and update the Safeguarding information available on the Doncaster Council and DSCP websites
To be successful in this role you will…
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have experience adhering to strict deadlines/targets through organising and prioritising work.
  • Possess the ability to record meeting minutes on a laptop.
  • Have excellent understanding of GDPR and security of information principles.
  • Can undertake research, analyse and collate information.
This is a full time role (37 Hrs P/w) – Hybrid working availableWorking hours: 9:00 – 17:00. Monday – FridayPay Rate: £11 – £11.75 P/hr PAYEWhat Reed can offer you as a temporary employee:
