Job Description

Our client, a highly successful and rapidly expanding business in South Norfolk are seeking an experienced Tax professional to join their business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is currently studying ATT/ACA/ACCA/CTA or has recently qualifiedand is looking to make their first move from practice.As Tax Accountant you will report directly to the Senior Tax Manager and support them in a wide range of tax related tasks. These tasks include preparation of corporation tax returns, preparation of tax accounting provisions & disclosures (IFRS & FRS101)for year end and interim reporting and VAT compliance.Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Preparation and submission of c40 UK corporation tax returns using in-house software, IRIS.
  • Assisting Senior Tax Manager with preparation of capital allowance claims.
  • Preparing quarterly instalment tax calculations, group relief calculations and managing Group Payment Arrangement allocations.
  • Preparation of VAT returns;
  • Assisting with tax governance, including SAO and CCO, in UK & Europe;
  • Supporting on various tax projects, which could include acquisitions, R&D claims, cross border tax matters, changes in tax legislation;
  • Assisting in overseeing tax compliance for European entities.
Key skills required:
  • Experience held in Corporation Tax compliance and tax accounting.
  • This opportunity would suit both a practise trained individual, or someone who has gained their experience in industry.
  • A recognised qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA, ATT) is preferred.
  • Strong MS Excel knowledge.
  • Driven individual, passionate about developing a career in tax, with ability to take ownership.
  • Good organisational skills, able to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines.
  • Able to communicate clearly with a range of people at differing levels.
