Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Internal Admin Support to join a friendly and supportive Sales Team, for an innovative and award-winning steel manufacturer, based on the outskirts of Sheffield, close to Dinnington.Here you will provide their day-to-day internal customers as a key point of contact. Where you will be managing all forms of customer communication, ensuring that the voice of the customer is always heard, whilst working in a positive and professional mannerto meet and exceed customers expectations.As the Internal Admin Support you will be required to:

  • Receiving, logging and processing customer enquiries.
  • Acknowledge immediately to customer
  • Preparing customer quotations in a timely and professional manner
  • Advise senior managers and customers of any delays, advising of timeline and specifics
  • Following up quotations in a timely manner and logging any feedback from the customer
  • Ensure internal database is always updated
  • Responding to customer order progress requests in a prompt and timely manner
  • Liaise with internal departments (e.g., technical, financial, production), as appropriate.
  • Entering customer orders on to internal system, ensuring that they are reviewed and authorised in line with company policy, prior to verification
  • Communicate with our purchasing department, to gain lead time and price information to enable the customer quotation to be completed
  • Occasional communicating challenging news to customers when we have to make reappraisals of our initial delivery promise.
  • Recognise any issues that need to be raised to senior management
Essential requirements for this role:
  • Proficient in IT and systems including Microsoft Office programmes, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Must have the ability to work as part of the team and under own initiative as appropriate
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with employees and key contacts at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrate good time management skills
  • Flexibility to meet the expectation of our customers
  • Ability to quickly understand the basics of engineered products, their functions and applications.
Salary: £21,000 - £23,000 per annumHours: 8:45am- 4:45pm, Mon to Thu. 8:45am- 3:00pm, Fri.*Shorter working hours or days may be considered
