Job title: EstimatorSalary: up to £35,000 depending on experienceLocation: DewsburyThe roleDue continued expansion in the pre-cast concrete sector of the construction industry, there is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estimator to be an integral part of the commercial department of the company. The candidate will be self motivated, havea professional approach and have a strong mathematical and technical background. Knowledge and experience of the pre-cast sector would be advantageous but not essential as product training will be given to the right individual.Duties and responsibilities Reviewing incoming enquiries to provide estimates for pre-cast flooring and staircases. Assessing requirements for materials, labour and plant on each project. Using both IT software and manual calculations for estimating. Providing sales and technical advice where required. Ability to carry out post tender negotiations. Updating our in-house CRM database and collating data.The successful candidate Experience within the pre-cast concrete sector or construction industry. Recognised building qualification. Strong mathematical/technical background. Ability to work to tight deadlines with returning estimates. Be willing to learn new skills and take on challenges. Strong communication skills both verbally and written. Be honest, reliable and able to work in a team environment.
