Due to growth within the business, they are looking for a multi-skilled shift engineer that is electrically biased to join their close-knit team.Role & Responsibilities:*Support and maintain all plant equipment, automated production, processing & packaging machinery*Carry out electrical & mechanical fault finding on breakdowns efficiently & effectively*Working with highly automated machinery / systems, PLCs, automation & controls, HMis*Perform inspection, engineering checks & PPM schedules*Project work and continuous improvements work*Ensure that all site assets / kit is performing to the required level of safety, quality & efficiency*Electrical installation, test & inspection work*Mechanical repairs, fabrication, machining & fitting tasks Knowledge, Skills & Experience:*Must be a multi-skilled engineer - but strong electrical biased*Experience of working in a high-speed production environment - ideally food, FMCG, automation*Have completed a time-served-apprenticeship in engineering*Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repair skills*17th or 18th Edition qualified*Strong problem solving and analytically skills - work proactively on breakdowns/fault finding*Ideally qualified to HNC level in engineering*Strong communication skills*PLCs - strong electrical fault-finding capabilities*Flexible approach to working a rotating 12-hour shift rota*Proven expertise in reliability engineering, asset care management, continuous improvements*Able to work within time constraints, prioritise and manage own workload*Bonus to be able to have mechanical fabrication, welding, fitting experience Shifts & Benefits Package:*Shift:-12-Hour Rotating Days & Nights Shift Rota*Salary:- £40,000-£45,000 + Regular Overtime*Benefits:- Private Pension, Life Assurance, 22 Shift Holidays, Site Annual Bonus, Money Off Goods Job Reference No: CG18015 / 534Suitable candidates should apply immediately by calling our Managing Consultant for this vacancy - Chris Gumm on or by sending your CV directly to him at We regret that this client is not prepared to sponsor work permit or work permit transfer applications.
