Ref: 14279Payroll OfficerSouthwestUp to £30,000 DOEWe have an exciting opportunity to join an expanding family-run accountancy firm in Devon. Our client is undergoing a sustainable period of growth, having doubled in size over the last few years. As such, they are looking to add an experienced Payroll Officerto their team.The Responsibilities* Assume responsibility for the entire payroll process and auto enrolment compliance for existing and new clients, including associated administration tasks.* Building rapport and developing long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are managed and that effective communication is always maintained.* A team-player aptitude is essential, as the role involves reviewing work produced by more junior members of staff. A calm and methodical demeanour is essential to lead by example.* Offer legislation guidance and system queries to both clients and staff alike. In order to do this, you must maintain up to date knowledge of both legislation and the systems used by the company.* Research and implement any improvement techniques or processes to improve the overall payroll function.The Candidate* You must be competent with the Microsoft Office suite, in particular drawing up documentation via Word and manipulating data through Excel.* The client is migrating from Moneysoft Payroll Manager to BrightPay, so experience of one of both of these systems is essential. * Confidence with managing workloads and meeting deadlines.
