Job Description

Butler Rose is delighted to be assisting a growing Torbay based manufacturer with the recruitment of a Logistics Order Management specialist. The role is wide ranging in scope and will see the successful person assisting with order management, logisticsand customer service.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage orders from start through to completion, including verifying order details, inputting data for commercial documents, liaising with sales, production, and warehousing to confirm dates for deliveries
  • Communicate with existing customers via telephone and email, demonstrating a high level of customer service awareness to establish and meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Negotiate delivery dates with customers
  • Prepare and provide documentation to customers in accordance with the terms of shipment.
  • Use IT systems and Customer Ordering Portals
  • Liaise with freight forwarders to enable them to arrange bookings
  • Ensure timely communication to colleagues regarding invoicing of orders once they are dispatched
  • Raise proformas and packing specifications as required for customer to arrange freight.
To be chosen for the role:The successful candidate will have strong customer service and administrative background and be experienced in sales order processing and shipping. They should be able to liaise with all necessary parties to ensure that each order arrives to the customeron time. Excellent customer service and communication skills plus the ability to perform well as a team member are all essential.What you get in return:
