Job Description

Role: AccountantType: Contract - 6 monthsSalary: £300 to £330 per dayRemote with occasional travel Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an Accountant for our Public Sector client based in Devon.Key responsibilities for the Accountant are;

  • Responsible for setting annual budgets in collaboration with the wider team
  • Accurate monthly management of service spending against budget and the prediction of yearend forecasts
  • Contribute towards the budget booklet for publication
  • Ensuring that appropriate budget systems and processes are developed
  • To assess performance and forecast year end financial positions
  • Assisting the Principal Accountant and Group Manager for Financial Services
  • Day to day cash management
  • Undertake reconciliations of key control accounts
The Ideal candidate for the Accountant will have;
  • Professional Accountancy Qualification
  • Capital and Revenue experience
  • Knowledge of financial management and accounting practices
  • Local Government experience
  • Budget Management
  • Experienced in the use of MS Office and software packages
