Our manufacturing client requires a Supplier Collaboration Engineer to join the drivetrain purchasing team. The site is in Desford, Leicestershire. You will be reporting to the European Category manager and will support both procurement (including supplier recovery plans) and quality activities (such as PPAP). This role is specific to Purchased Finished Drivetrain components namely, friction materials,gearboxes and driveshafts.Your background as Supplier Collaboration Engineer needs to cover*PPAPs and the approval process. *Ability to lead supplier facing elements APQP projects as well as prior experience of working with APQPs. *Negotiation experience / Managing strategic supplier relationships*Knowledge of manufacture of splines would be desirable*Creation of supplier Recovery plans for Assurance of supply*Presentation skills and managing stakeholdersAs Supplier Collaboration Engineer you will be a combination of buyer and supplier development engineer. There is potential for development of electric drives and new technology for the future.Qualifications and experience level*Mechanical engineering desirable *CIPS desirable*WFH not an issue, but lots of travel will be required within EuropeOur manufacturing client requires a Supplier Collaboration Engineer to join the drivetrain purchasing team.
