Job Description

TemporaryWere currently seeking a Training Lead based in and around Plymouth to work within a state of the art, high output diagnostics laboratory environment as part of the UKs NHS Test and Trace programme.As well as playing a vital role in supporting societys return to a more normal way of life by helping to break the chains of COVID-19 transmission, you will also gain invaluable experience and exposure to some of the countrys most highly skilled individuals in the scientific community.This represents a once in a lifetime opportunity to go above and beyond to support public health, while positioning your Scientific career for further success and growth.If of interest and you meet the criteria of the below, please apply today.Your responsibilities:The main purpose of the role is to support the technical and personal development of Laboratory staff through the provision and oversight of training and competency.The successful candidate will ensure the timely and accurate recording of all training and competency related documentation, identify training needs and work with the appropriate staff to address these needs and ensure the continued maintenance of skills and knowledge required to effectively carry out the role.Your experience:In order to be successful in the role of Training Lead youll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years post state registration experience in an accredited laboratory
  • BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences or a degree acceptable to the IBMS and the Health Professions Council (HPC)
  • Experience of teaching/training at a higher level.
  • A recognized qualification in teaching/training or significant demonstrable experience.
