We are looking for an Ophthalmology Nurse to join our team.This role is a part-time, permanent position for 15 hours per week.Practice Plus Group Hospital, Plymouth has been rated Outstanding by the CQC*, putting it at the very top of the regulators quality ratings, which means that you can be sure you are part of a team providing safe, reliable and patient-focused care.You will be a valued member of our professional and experienced multidisciplinary team, coordinating the patients journey from pre-admission to discharge. You will organise and undertake pre-operative assessments, including specialised biometry and ophthalmicmeasurements of patients, ensuring that they are fit for surgery. In addition you will participate in the ongoing development of the ophthalmology service within the hospital.About The CandidateAs an NMC registered General Nurse, you will have recent experience in ophthalmology, outpatient and pre-assessment, as well as training in physical examination. Extensive and relevant experience in acute care or elective surgery nursing is key for this role,as well as up to date hands on clinical skills including, phlebotomy, IV drug administration and performing ECGs.About The CompanyIn turn we will support you to help you grow in your role and take your career in the direction you want to go.
