Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust in a brand new role as a Patient Services Assistant.University Hospitals Plymouth now provide all Hotel Services to the organisation and we are recruiting for part-time shifts:

  • Mainly evening shifts, all part time domestic (cleaning) contracts
    • We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are essential to maintaining hygienic and clean environments for patients, staff and visitors throughout the hospital.A passion for customer satisfaction and excellent organisational skills are a must as you will work as part of the Hotel Services team to ensure the delivery of general environmental cleaning on the wards and Departments and the provision of food and beverages to patients throughout the day.The cleaning responsibilities may include:- cleaning all the patient treatment areas- cleaning patient isolation cubicles and bed spaces- cleaning sanitary areas such as toilets- cleaning bathrooms, showers and sluice rooms- daily and weekly cleaning of patient equipmentThe catering responsibilities may include:- liaise with Nursing Team on the ward to ensure that patient individual dietary needs are met- distribute and collect information menus- taking patient orders on an electronic tablet- receive and load kitchen ward oven for regeneration- liaise with CPU for any specific catering matters- plate and serve meals to patients as per previous order and dietary needs- serve hot and cold beverages- cleaning of the kitchen area including all patient crockery and cutlery using a dishwasherIf you think this sound like you and you would like a new challenge in an organisation that values, develops and engages with their staff, then we want you to apply.As a Team, we share and uphold the organisation’s values in all that we do:
