The imaging department takes student Radiographers from the University of Exeter and University of Plymouth, and is a training site for Radiologists based at the Peninsula Radiology Academy, close to the Hospital. The General Imaging Department is looking to recruit an enthusiastic HCPC registered Radiographer with significant demonstrable experience in a learning and teaching in both postgraduate and undergraduate level to contribute to the training, education, supervision and mentoring of an increasing number of learners in our department.As Lead Practice Educator you will oversee a team of practice educators within the general imaging department responsible for the co-ordination and provision of the clinical education component for all learners within the general imaging department including: pre-registration radiography students; students participating in elective placements, apprentice radiographers, preceptee radiographers and the wider general radiographer workforce. This will involve the development and delivery of an annual training strategy to address training needs within the department and progression of clinical education.You will need to have great interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and deliver the specific training requirements that are needed.
