Job Description

Customer Service Administrator - Hybrid Location: Hybrid - Leicester or PlymouthSalary: £20,971 - £21,971 per annum, DOE (pro rata)Contract: 24 hours per weekWhy do we want youYou are an experienced Customer Service professional who has provided first point contact to customers via telephone and email within a professional services environment.You are competent at providing advice and guidance to professional customers concerning general administrative processing such as processing of invoices, resolving complaints and dealing with general queries relating to course bookings and membership orsimilar.A bit about usAt Mercia, we enable accountancy and tax professionals to do business in the right way.We’re proud to be part of Wilmington PLC’s training and education division, so if you’re looking for innovation, integrity and teamwork, you’ll find them all and more here.Joining us as a Customer Service Administrator, means you will become part of our fantastic Customer Services Team providing first point of contact to Mercia’s members and new customers.You will focus on bookings and queries, from both external customers and internal teams ensuring they are dealt with effectively and efficiently and to the customers satisfaction.In addition to this as our Customer Service Administrator you will:

  • Assume first point of contact responsibility for customers via phone, email and webchat
  • Assist with the processing of invoices
  • Work with clients to resolve complaints, incidents and enquiries
  • Process bookings, memberships and requests
  • Retain knowledge of Mercia’s wide variety of courses and products
In order to be successful in this role, you will also need:
  • To have developed excellent customer service skills as a result of experience gained within a customer service role in a membership organisation or similar
  • Advanced IT skills (some familiarity with Salesforce is desirable)
  • Experience of performing a variety of administrative tasks such as making and processing bookings within a database such as Otis or Salesforce (highly desirable) or similar
  • To have an understanding of memberships organisations and member clients (highly desirable)
  • The ability to deliver good service via telephone, email and webchat
  • The ability to work independently to problem solve and resolve complaints effectively
