University Hospitals Plymouth NHS TrustPost Title Consultant Oncologist Grade ConsultantContract Permanent Please apply via NHS Jobs, uploading your CV.University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust seek to appoint a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with an interest in Gynae-oncology and Neuro-oncologyUniversity Hospitals Plymouth NHSoffers a broad range of specialist treatments, including Intracranial SRS/T, Lung primary and oligo metastases SABR, IGRT, IMRT and HDR gynae brachytherapy.The department has undergone significant expansion over the last few years with new consultant appointments and is in the process of a linac replacement programme, with planning permission in place to build a decant bunker and a dedicated brachytherapy suite and anaesthetic recovery area to allow our development of these services. There are also plans for our chemotherapy services and outpatient department to be reconfigured.All oncology consultants have time in their job plans to allow the support of oncology research and as a result we are a research active department.Consultants also participate in the acute oncology service, which is currently a 1:10 rota. We are supported by an on call registrar and a team of acute oncology nurses.Plymouth actively participates in the South West Peninsula Radiotherapy Operation Delivery Network and any new colleague would be expected and supported with job planned sessions to participate in peer review within this structure.Positive consideration will be given to applicants with other site interests and those wishing to work on a part time basis.
