We are very excited to be seeking a specialist Cancer Services/ Deputy Accountable Pharmacist to join team. We are keen to hear from pharmacists who are keen to take the next step in their career development and specialise in cancer and technical services.In Plymouth we are continuously developing exciting and innovative opportunities for enthusiastic and motivated pharmacists to join our dedicated team delivering clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation services across our large teaching hospital.We are seeking likeminded pharmacists who are passionate about patient care and share our commitment to support and complement the multi-disciplinary team as we develop integration of clinical pharmacy services across all areas of the Trust.This post provides an opportunity to split your role between clinical pharmacy and technical services. As a clinical pharmacist you will work with our cancer services team to provide ward cover and clinical support to our busy hematology and oncology departments. The other half of the role will enable the potholder to develop their technical skills by acting as one of the deputies for the Accountable Pharmacist. You will be involved in the checking of aseptically prepared products and managing the wider Pharmaceutical Quality Systems (PQS) to ensure that products are prepared in accordance with the principles of good manufacturing practice (GMP).In this evolving post, your personal and professional development will be key to achieving job satisfaction.
