Job Description

£9.50£18.49 per hourBetter Healthcare Services are looking for Mental Health Support Workers across Norfolk to support clients with mild or complex mental health needs. If you have experience supporting adults with diagnosed MH needs in secure unit, hospital or homelessnesshostel than we would welcome hearing from you.Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support clients with their day to day living needs by following individualised and person-centred support plans.
  • You will be expected to prompt clients with things such as personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning and sustaining healthy and engaging activities.
  • You will be working as part of a support team, sharing relevant information where appropriate.
  • Managing challenging and complex situations is expected, with a specific focus on de-escalation and non-confrontational approaches to managing challenging behaviours.
Desirable experience:
  • Background in working in MH sector
  • Understanding of DOLS (deprivation of liberty safeguarding)
  • Understanding of Mental capacity act 2005
  • Understanding of Mental health act 2015
  • Experience of providing care and/or support to vulnerable people.
  • Possess excellent people skills.
  • Have a passion for supporting adults with MH
  • Be able to develop and maintain good working relationships
  • Be able to demonstrate positive personal authority.
  • Have great communication skills.
