The business is growing from strength to strength and as a result there is a need for an additional member of staff.The RoleThe advertised role is for a full time, a permanent member of staff with a solid background in networking. The duties and essential skills required include: Duties- Installation, termination, and testing of CAT-5e, CAT-6 6A etc cabling in a variety of building structures, interior and exterior. This includes termination of patch panels floor boxes and wall panels.- Network infrastructure troubleshooting- Pulling and installing cable at different operating heights- Drilling holes, trunking runs and "making good" any areas after completion- Installation of WiFi equipment, including the configuration of WiFi bridges and access points, mainly Unifi- Installation of 4G aerials and dishes- Configuration and installation of routers, mainly Draytek / Mikrotik- Visiting sites to configure and deploy new IT equipment, eg new PC and Macintosh computers, printers, other peripherals, mobile, and desk telephones, servers and network switches- Installation and setup of CCTV systems, including port forwarding- Installation and configuration of VoIP telephonesEssential Skills- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems identified in IT infrastructure, including desktop equipment, servers, and network cabling and data switches- Strong interpersonal skills, customer orientation, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a team are important- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively- Positive attitude, ready to help all support teams and clients- A methodical approach to problem-solvingSkills that would be of advantage- Experience of a range of routers and access points Draytek, Mikrotiks RouterOS, SwitchOS, Ubiquiti etcGet the Recruitment Genius Advantage today.
