Job Description

Reed Practice are delighted to have been engaged by a local independent accountancy firm – but not just any old firm; these are a friendly bunch, a real team, who have developed a close relationship with their clients by providing a high calibre serviceof accountancy, tax and consultancy services.We are recruiting, along with the Managing Partner, for an experienced practice accountant to oversee the accounts team in the role of Accounts Supervisor. The post holder can be employed on either a full part time basis.Your role as Accounts Supervisor will involve –

  • Preparation of the management accounts, updating budgets and partnering with clients on variances,
  • Year-end accounts preparation for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships,
  • Reconciliation of nominal and balance sheets, supplier statements and bank postings,
  • Maintaining the accuracy of the debtors ledger and fixed asset registers,
  • Bookkeeping,
  • Support the senior management team,
  • Ensure accuracy of financial reports and data,
  • Overseeing two team members of the VAT and accounts team.
To be considered, you must have experience such as this in an accountancy practice, either previously or currently.You will need to have solid experience of cloud accounting software, preferably Xero and Sage with Quickbooks and added advantage.Apply now to learn more or contact Natalie Harden at Reed.
