Job Description

Our client is looking to strengthen their SHEQ team with a H&S Advisor for their Severn Trent Water framework based across the East Midlands.The role reports directly to the Senior H&S Advisor and the responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Health and Safety advice to all levels of staff
  • Undertaking site H&S inspections and audits and completion of on-line reports for each site visited
  • Investigation of accidents and incidents with causal analysis
  • Providing Health and Safety Lead with relevant information, support and deputising as required
  • Promoting Positive Intervention and Improve It reporting & ensuring timely close-out of corrective actions
  • Maintaining own level of knowledge and competency in relation to H&S management and responsibilities including appropriate qualification and professional memberships
Qualifications
  • Experience in Civil, Mechanical & Electrical within the water industry
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum
  • IOSH Membership, working towards Chartered Member
  • Good IT and report writing skill
  • CSCS Card
  • EUSR (Blue Card)
  • Self-starter with good time management and the ability to prioritise workload
  • Preferably with Infrastructure, NRSWA experience
