Our accredited and high growth UK client is currently looking to appoint a technically strong new Group Accountant to join their UK based Finance Team. This is a superb opportunity with future staff management responsibility for an ambitious ACA or ACCA qualified accountant / auditor with a practice background to be responsible for providing a full group financial accounting and consolidation service to group and its individual business units.In this exciting and newly created role, your core accountabilities and responsibilities will include; monthly balance sheet controls and reconciliations; intercompany accounts in group companies; responsibility for cash management and AP/AR; to ensure thatVAT and CT is recorded and submitted on a quarterly / periodic basis; to assist with the preparation of the quarterly reporting pack and the production of their draft statutory accounts (as well as preparation of tax computations and requirements within statutorydeadlines and supporting analysis for annual returns); to control and oversee the implementation of corporate policies and regulatory compliance and to provide support with payroll and pension related matters. Adding even more variety to this new role, therewill also be a significant ad-hoc and projects element, which will see the successful applicant assisting with future acquisitions processes, continuously improving reporting processes and challenging group on their revenue and growth expectations.The successful candidate will be an academically and technically strong qualified accountant with proven, statutory, balance sheet, internal controls, and consolidations experience. Essential to this role is a high attention to detail level, a robust reportingand financial accounting background coupled with the ability to communicate with financial and non-financial stakeholders at all levels.Strong MS Excel skills will also be hugely advantageous.
