Electronic Engineer (VHDL, FPGA) Long Eaton, Derbyshire (Remote Working) £45,000 to £50,000 + Flexible Working / Work from Home + Progression + Technical Advancement + Pension + Holiday Excellent opportunity for an Electronic Engineer to join a fascinating start-up in a highly varied and autonomous position offering amazing opportunities for progression. This company are an exciting start-up that are introducing fascinating new technologies to the medical equipment industry to help reduce costs, improve safety and lower risk. Through growth they are looking for an engineer with experience writing VHDL and Embedded C/C++ for Xilinx FPGAs to join their team in a highly autonomous role with huge long term progression potential. In this role you will focus on the specification, design, development and testing of the embedded software & electronics that runs on the companys visualisation platform that is currently under development. This ranges from miniaturised circuits embedded within single-use items, to more complex control boards. This is a very varied and flexible role where you will be able to manage your hours as you see fit and have the flexibility to work at home 4 days a week. As the company grows there is a clear progression pathways available for the right person. The ideal candidate will have experience designing with and writing VHDL for FPGAs, preferably with Xilinx products. Knowledge of digital circuit design and layout within Altium is highly beneficial. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an interesting business at the ground floor in a highly flexible, varied and autonomous role. The role: *Working within a small team to develop system specifications and designs *Delivering VHDL code *Delivering schematics & PCB layouts *Delivering design documentation to medical regulations *Developing and performing testing while contributing to R&D *Monday to Friday, 40 hour working week, remote working available four days a week The person: *Experience designing with and writing VHDL for FPGAs, preferably with Xilinx products *Knowledge of digital circuit design and layout, ideally within Altium *Any experience of IEC 60601 or working on medical electrical equipment beneficial *Degree qualified - Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics or similar etc. *Previous experience working in a highly regulated industry such as medical, rail, aerospace, military and defence Reference Number: BBBH96357 Required skills
