Each hospital is a state of the art, high tech building which will make the patient experience is individualisedand person centred. The hospital is well known for their pioneering orthopaedic, cataract, varicose vein and cosmetic surgeries amongst others. The Healthcare and Nursing team at this service on the outskirts of Derby centre are made up of Nurses, ODPs, Scrub,Physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals who you will work along side to maintain a consistent delivery of person centred care.The hospital is based just outside of Derby centre, and is easily accessible via car or public transport.DescriptionAsAgency Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) in this private hospital, Derby you will be responsible for:Working independently, running own diary & managing a caseloadAssessing and supporting the operational team to implement the care, writing person centredcare plans & risk assessmentsPreparing specialist drugs and equipment including anaesthetic machine and IV equipmentCommunicating regularly with the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team, acting as the patients advocateProviding appropriate treatment to patient untilthey recover from anaesthesia effects or surgeryAuditing, reviewing and maintaining clinical documentationMonitoring and ensuring the delivery of care is clinically suitable & evidence basedActing as a link between the surgical team and other parts of thehospitalProfileThe successful Agency ODP/Scrub Nurse will have the following:Active & Valid NMC/HCPC RegistrationClear Enhanced DBS (Childrens & Adults)Legal right to live and work in the UKExperience working in a similar settingAs Agency Operating DepartmentPractitioner (ODP) you will be:Compassionate, empathetic and understanding of patients needs and potential distress at requiring surgeryConfident and competent working as part of a broad multidisciplinary team of healthcare staffUp to date with theoreticaland clinical advances within the healthcare and nursing industryAvailable to commit to regular shifts around your lifestyleJob OfferIn return for your hard work and dedication you will receive:Competitive salaryFlexible working hoursFree uniformFree parkingWeeklypayrollDedicated consultant
