Temporary to permanent Beaming Machine Operative - The aim of the Beaming Department is to prepare cones of yarn ready for manufacture. This is achieved using a semi automatic spooling machine. The role will include Beam lifting, which will include using lifting equipment to load full beams of yarn into looms and moving woven product out of the department. Duties also include: Loading and unloading yarn onto specialist in house machines. Watching and inspecting work as it runs, ensuring the end product meets customer specifications Hand tying threads into specialist machines, using a high level of dexterity and attention to detail. Lifting, loading and unloading. Full training will be given, so no knowledge of weaving is required although candidates with previous experience of the manufacturing of yarns, lace or knitted products would be an advantage. Good level of written and spoken English Manual handling, lifting required. Hours Monday to Thursday 7am to 5.15pm - Fridays off! Company is based in the Pride Park area of Derby!
