My client urgently requires a Unix / Solaris Engineer to work as a SME as part of a large, broad team of technical specialists working on a variety of projects.TITLE: Unix / Solaris EngineerCLEARANCE: SCLOCATION: Derby (remote initially due to Covid restrictions but occasional site visits required)RATE: £400 - £450END DATE: 31/03/2021 (scope to extend)Skills/Qualifications:*Familiarity with server virtualization technologies e.g. VMware, Solaris zones, SolarisNFS.*Familiarity with SAN/storage concepts (LUNs, HBAs), logical volume management.*Experience with SELinux*Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) process working knowledge of OS security best practices and experience with the Secure*Familiarity with Red Hat and with the management of Veritas Cluster Services.*Experience configuring/managing/updating large groups of servers.*CompTIA Security+*CompTIA Linux+ or RHCSA or RHCE.*Certified Solaris systems Administrator with experience of Solaris 10/11*8+ years experience as a Unix Systems Admin/Engineer*Include shell scripting and networking concepts (VLANs, routing, firewalls, subnetting)*Detailed knowledge and experience with Solaris 10 and Solaris 11 administration, to Logical DomainsDue to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply.
