Are you an enthusiastic, highly motivated and hard working Sonographer looking for a new challenge Do you want to work in a caring and professional environment where patients come first Would you like to work in a friendly department in a busy acute trust If so, then please apply to become part of our multi-disciplinary Ultrasound Team within the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.Part time and full time applications are invited from Sonographers who are caring, enthusiastic and self-motivated. We would welcome candidates with a wide range of ultrasound competencies; however we would also consider applications from Sonographers with experience in one clinical area. An Obstetric ultrasound qualification would be beneficial. We are looking for Sonographers who would be interested in bringing their ambition, commitment, knowledge, experience and skills to the Trust.You should have a UK CASE accredited Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent (DMU), be HCPC registered and have previous experience working as a Sonographer within the NHS. You will have evidence of on-going CPD and learning related to your areas of ultrasound practice.We have a wide range of ultrasound equipment within the Trust, much of which is on a rolling replacement programme. CRIS and PACS are used throughout the Trust. Depending on your competency, experience and areas of speciality you may have opportunity to rotate through our general, obstetric, early pregnancy, urology rooms and our community hospital departments. You will be expected to participate in the Ultrasound extended day and weekend working.
