Job Description

Social WorkerMental Health careAdults servicesOur client, a Local Authority based in Yorkshire is looking for a qualified social worker to join its Mental Health servicesPay rate of £28/hr!(Umbrella)Working hours are made up of four shifts i.e., 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm, 1pm- 8pm (Majority shifts being 9am-5pm)Responsibilities of the role:

  • Time in Single Point of Access triaging referrals, carrying out crisis assessments, assessing mental health and risks, formulating plans
  • Managing a small case load and providing a short-term piece of focussed support and intervention
  • Under the direction of a safeguarding manager, leading on complex safeguarding investigations, and joint investigations, complex VARMM and risk management cases
  • Complex report writing for purposes of legal forums and attendance at appropriate forums e.g., coroners court, court of protection and mental health review tribunals
  • Undertake complex capacity assessments and best interest decision making using written guidance and established procedure e.g., complex risk situations, end of life and where complex decision making is required
  • Co-ordinate, monitor and review support plans in complex cases to meet identified needs and agreed outcomes
Requirements of the role:
  • CQSW, CSS, DIPSW, Social Work degree or equivalent
  • Current registration with CPC/Social Work England
  • Up to date enhanced DBS check
