Job Description

This role is part of a number of new roles the Trust are recruiting to in order to deliver outstanding care to our cancer patients and shape the future of our cancer services.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and self-motivated Band 6 Senior Radiotherapy Planning Therapeutic Radiographer. You will work as part of our Radiotherapy Planning team, specialising in the planning of a wide range of Radiotherapy treatmentsWe have recently undergone a major equipment replacement programme with all of our 4 linear accelerators being replaced to Varian Truebeam along with replacement of our R&V system to Aria and our treatment planning system to Eclipse.Our other equipment includes Philips Big Bore CT with full Ambient Lighting Experience, Superficial Xray Therapy; Nucletron HDR Brachytherapy; Prosoma V-Sim; and Eclipse external beam planning system. We operate all equipment on the Varian ARIA platform.As a progressive teaching centre for Student Radiotherapists the trust has established links with Sheffield Hallam University where our educational facilities include a seminar room. The Trust actively encourages CPD and role extension with support available to pursue academic courses to further develop and enhance your skills.In return we will offer:
