Job Description

Senior Process Technologist required to support a growing food manufacturing business, this is an exciting opportunity to support the launch of new products.Client DetailsOur FMCG client are experiencing rapid growth at their site in Derby, they are investing in NPD with new products expected to launch over the coming months. It is an exciting time to join the business.DescriptionThe Role will:

  • Work closely with the Process Manager, the NPD team and production in the successful launch of new products.
  • Deputise for the Process Manager when required.
  • Plan & run factory trials and complete factory trial paperwork including Line Standards and Quality Assurance.
  • Order ingredients for trials, chase up suppliers, keep a raw material ingredient tracker updated and raise POs when required.
  • Organise couriers when required.
  • Collect, label and send Shelf Life and Nutritional samples and log them onto the system.
  • Carry out initial Thermal Validations for all new products.
ProfileApplicants should be:
  • Degree Qualified in a food science-based subject (or equivalent).
  • Holding an Advanced Food Hygiene qualification.
  • Experience in a process/NPD role within food manufacturing.
  • Be able to build a close working relationship with Production, Technical, Planning, Finance and Engineering, enabling the smooth running of trials.
  • Adaptable and prioritise and juggle multiple work streams at the same time.
  • IT literate with MS Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Word.
