We are AGI Global Logistics and we’re one of the fastest growing logistics companies in the UK.We currently have 17 offices and branches across the UK and Europe with 250 network locations Worldwide.Our current team of 200 people go the extra mile to provide the same outstanding service to every client and we are all driven by delivering expert land, sea and air freight distribution and logistics solutions for our clients.The bigger we become, the more people we can help… This is where you come in!The roleWe are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our East Midlands Airport office based in Derby.In this role you will be directly responsible building and managing your own portfolio of clients and you will ensure that they always receive a personable and tailored service delivery to build loyalty, ensure repeat business and enable all jobs to runefficiently and correctly.You will work closely with the Director and Business Development Manager’s to support the growth of the business by identify new opportunities for the business within our existing client base and by bringing on new clients to manage within your own portfolio.You will be responsible for providing quotes directly to customers and ensure these are being followed up on proactively to win and close as many opportunities and bookings as possible. To ensure we are providing the best service and rates to our customersyou will also build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers.Alongside service, margins are of course incredibly important to us and you will play a pivotal role in ensuring we have clear profit margins on all accounts and jobs, maximising these wherever possibleBenefits

What you’ll be able to offer
  • Sales experience with a proven track record of identifying new clients and opportunities and converting these is essential
  • Strong account management experience for road, air or sea freight customers is essential
  • Excellent understanding of transport and Worldwide logistics
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to develop and build strong and personable relationships over the phone and in person with a broad range of individuals
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a strong team player
  • Accountability to yourself and others
  • Extremely organised with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and able to work to tight deadlines
  • High IT literacy skills
