Responder/Call HandlerCarelink is a 24-hour emergency monitoring and response service. That provides support to people in their own homes through their connection link to the Carelink telecare service 24/7 and 365 days a year.This service supports people who wish to remain living independently for as long as they can. It also brings reassurance to users by ensuring safety within the home.Customers activate a support call at any time 24/7 via the alarm unit installed in their own home and or the sensors attached to it.Our Call Handler Responders will then discuss and assess the nature of the emergency and will action an appropriate response. Responding themselves 24/7 if required. In the case of a serious emergency, the emergency services will also be contacted.As part of the Carelink team the candidates will be expected to undertake the following duties* call handling services 24/7* responding to emergency situations 24/7 including lifting uninjured customers using specialist equipment provided. (Full training provided)* carrying out safe and well checks to support vulnerable people living in the community.* installing and maintaining emergency call equipment in customers homes and undertaking annual visits to check the equipment.Due to the nature of the role some parts of the shift will be office based and other parts will require candidates to respond to customers in their own homes.The candidate will be working * x4 7.5 hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid break on a rolling rota basis including weekends and bank holidaysThe candidate will be expected to * Work days afternoons and night shifts * 7:00am to 15:00pm and 15:00pm to 23:00pm and 23:00pm to 07:00am* Hours are 30 per weekBased at the Gatehouse Kedleston Road Derby (On-site parking available)Candidates will be expected to have excellent communication and computer skills and ideally will have Call Centre experience or an understanding of social care with the elderly. Full training will be given.The posts will be for a 12-week period but there is the opportunity for this to become permanent.* All candidates will be required to have an enhanced Adults DBS* All candidates must hold a full manual driving licenseAGENCIES Please do not submit candidates if they cannot fulfil these two requirements
