Job Description

Regional Management AccountantLocation: DerbySalary: CompetitiveAvonside Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Regional Management Accountant to join our Derby office.Offering fantastic progression and development, this role is essential to our regional branches and will involve business partnering with non-finance stakeholder throughout the group.Main Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Support and coach Branch Managers in financial control, reporting and compliance
  • Deliver accurate month end reports
  • Business Partnering; excellent communication skills; negotiation and influencing; continuous improvement approach; organised; excellent attention to detail; collaborative approach; strong leadership skills;
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheets
  • Working Capital performance review
  • Accountability for cash collection and outstanding debt across the region
  • Job costing analysisincluding areas for improvement and appropriate actions
  • Monthly financial branch performance reviews
  • Quarterly forecasting; including identifying upside/risk; commentary; areas for improvement and appropriate actions
  • Escalation point for all financial queries across the region
  • Main contact point for Branch Managers within the region
  • Dealing with queries in a timely an deficient manner
  • Providing leadership; coaching and development to all team members
  • Full line management responsibility for team; including recruitment; retention; regular revies; workload monitoring and performance management
  • Abide by the Companys Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies, procedures and statutory requirements; and undertake such health and safety training as may be required.
  • Participate in any mandatory/required training activities as relevant.
Individual:
  • ACA,ACCA/CIMA Qualified
  • Minimum of 12 months in a management accountant role
  • Previous experience of business partnering senior colleague
  • Demonstrable capability to introduce and maintain financial controls and compliance
