Job Description

Role: Project Manager (Statutory Utilities Management)Location: DerbySalary: £45-£55K DOE + Attractive BenefitsRole Purpose:Do you have experience of project managing the multi-utilities aspects for major programme construction works Our client - An international property and infrastructure construction consultancy, founded and built on exceptional people, a commitment to service excellence and an entrepreneurial spirit are seeking experienced Project Managers to focus on the delivery of the statutory utilities aspect of projects from master planning and feasibility to route/ building clearance studies covering Water, Sewers, Gas, Telecoms, Power.   • Manage new temporary and permanent service connections
  • Disconnecting of existing services to projects
  • Abandoning existing services
  • Protecting of exiting utility assets and managing the diversions
  • Provide data collections and surveys
  • Oversee the programme development and planning
  • Overseeing the on-site management and instillations
  • Managing stakeholders and clients engagement and expectations
  • Experience Required:
  • 5-10 years’ experience in one or more of the various statutory utilities.
  • Experience in the appraisal, feasibility studies, concept / front end engineering design and planning of large scale, high profile building and infrastructure projects and programmes. These projects or programmes will have been challenging from a size, scale, multiple site, multi-disciplinary or stakeholder perspective.
  • Proven experience working in the construction/utilities sector and managing projects
  • Self-motivated, and able of working under own direction in pressured construction environment
  • Strong negotiating skills is essential
  • An understanding of procurement opportunities to deliver contestable works
  • Able to lead teams and chair meetings
  • Professional qualification in Project/Programme Management, or Construction
  • M&E Management is desirable, although HNC equivalent with appropriate experience will also suffice.
