Job Description

Currently looking for a Production Shift Managers to lead and develop teams within a fast paced food manufacturing background. Applicants should excel in leadership, coaching and mentoring, with the ability to motivating teams to ensure production schedulesare met in a timely manner.Client DetailsOur FMCG client in Derby are currently recruiting a Production Shift Managers / Area Managers for their food manufacturing facility in Derby. The site is growing and investing in new capital expenditure, with further development planned.Description

  • Ensuring factory KPIs are met in a timely fashion.
  • Communicating key information effectively to colleagues and other shift teams.
  • Coordinating activities of team in minor breakdown situations or abnormal operating conditions.
  • Assisting during PPMs and actioning required follow up work.
  • Carrying out & recording quality checks, ensuring appropriate action is taken when parameters are out of spec
  • Helping to generate and maintain compliance to operating procedures ensuring work is carried out work in a standardised way.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and housekeeping.
  • Monitoring absences and performance within department, also carrying out investigations and disciplinaries as required.
  • Assuming personal responsibility for health and safety and championing H&S and Hygiene within own area and team.
  • Minimising waste and recycling product effectively.
  • Carrying out duties and tasks across the factory as deemed necessary and suitable to reduce idle time.
  • Effectively contributing to improved line performance and efficiencys.
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping, health & safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Cleaning of the units and lines after a changeover or for a shut down.
Shift Patterns are either:
  • 3 on 3 off Days Only £38k. 6am to 6pm.
Profile
  • Previous experience of managing high performing teams in a food manufacturing environment.
  • A practical hands-on approach.
  • An eye for detail and desire for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work within a team from own initiative.
Applicants should be willing to work either:
  • 3 on 3 off Days Only £38k. 6am to 6pm.
