Are you currently looking for a good stable career choice in these crazy timesDo you have a strong eye for detail when it comes to print based designAre you not only a designer but also a leaderYou will need skills across: producing concept artwork (working knowledge of Indesign, Photoshop etc desirable) using a MAC or roughing out.In the role as the Print Artworker you will work on a mass production 600+ page catalogue (with 6k+ products) for a national leading retailer. You will be a self-starter someone who has an ability to direct design rather than be a full time designer and an ability to take, interpret and deliver a strong design brief. You will be a visionary and a project manager - someone who is used to managing and running printing on a mass scale. You will work in unison with a design companysetting briefs, controlling workload and pulling the strings internally. This includes work across catalogues, flyers, address carriers and POS. You will be an effective communicator who is able to formulate, influence and update internally with senior figures where needed. You will also get involved in image handling managing the process (by design studio) for images, ensure correct dpi for print with clipping paths etc, directing photoshoots (limited) and be in some off sites where needed. When it comes to print production you will understand the base requirements form proofs, knowledge of colour capability, registration/ fit, be able to travel (drive where needed), processes - litho & HSWO a must, gravure and digital a bonus although not essential.You will need experience and up to date knowledge of print finishing, stitching, perfect binding and the associated pitfall and processes.You will/ may be:- A self-starter, with a can do attitude and able to get hold of the role and run with it.- Use of own initiative too throughout.- Must have a passion from printing material not just digital (more print focussed)- From either client side or a creative companybackgroundThere is a full handover planned -you will be a great investment for the company so they will be looking to on-board you in a safe and effective way!
