Job Description

Due to investment, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, accurate, efficient and self-motivated individual to join our friendly professional Cancer Services team based at the Royal Derby Hospital.Your role will be varied and include provision of chemotherapy across the trust to patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. You will be expected to participate in solid dose and aseptic dispensing. The work is varied and challenging so we are looking for an individual who can work under pressure and prioritise workload.You should also be conscientious, reliable, good attention to detail, have excellent communication skills and be able to work alone as well as part of a team. You must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician or in the process of registering. Previous experience in aseptic production and dispensing is desirable but there will be full training in all aspects of aseptic manufacture provided for suitable candidates.You will be flexible as shifted working by rota (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays).Due to expansion of the team, two positions are available for a full time Pharmacy Technician (37.5 hours) on a permanent contract. Part time/job share will be considered.In return we will offer:
