The successful candidate can expect to be welcomed into an already well established team who invests in their staff to maintain growth individuallyand for the company.DescriptionAs a Payroll Team Leader, your main purpose is to ensure effective and efficient Payroll Service to 15,000+ employees in the workplace whilst adhering to agreed deadlines. You will be a crucial point of contact between internal and external stakeholdersto ensure the smooth running of the Payroll function, providing specialist and technical advice relating to all pay issues. Additionally, you will be required to support and mentor the senior and junior payroll clerks.ProfileThe successful Payroll Team Leader must have:

  • Be qualified to AAT Level 4 minimum or relevant experience
  • Have proven experience working in payroll and the ability to manage multiple payrolls that are 1,000+ in size
  • Excellent IT skillsand a good understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience of managing and supporting staff
  • Ideally from a public sector background (desirable)
Job OfferThe candidate can expect a salary up to £31,000 (doe) for 37.5 hours per week + immediate start + permanent position + free, on site parking + generous pension contributions + 27 days annual leave and 8 days bank holidays + flexible working and career breaks+ family and childcare support + health and well-being support
