SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a well renowned business in Derby who are looking for a Payroll Team Leader to join their business on a full time, permanent basis. The Role - To oversee and support a small team to sure the effective and efficient completion of all aspects of the monthly end to end payroll function using ResourceLink and other business systems - Ensure the accurate and timely payment of 1800 employees over 12 payrolls with varying and complex service conditions - Process new hires and terminations - Ensure processing happens in line with published timetable - To be a primary source of quality checking as part of the finalisation of payroll - Reconciliation of HMRC, Pension contributions and 3rd parties - Raise payments for HMRC, Pensions contributions, 3rd parties and any other ad hoc requirements - To be a point of escalation for complex queries - To take responsibility for system upgrades and user testing. - To support Payroll Manager as and when necessary with ad hoc tasks The Person - You will have a proven payroll experience, ideally in a supervisory position - A recognised payroll qualification is desirable but not essential - Good team player - Exceptional Excel/IT skills - Excellent communication skills The ideal candidate will have solid end to end Payroll experience in a high volume environment, and will have high levels of numerical and analytical skill. An effective communicator, influencer and team player is essential, as is the ability to get stuck inand be adaptable where needed.
