Job title: Paint SprayersJob location: DerbyHourly pay rate: £25.87 Ltd or Umbrella Mornings/Afters/Nights Shifts: Mornings, Afternoons and NightsHours per week: 50 hours a week Start date: ASAPWhats in it for you * Great take home pay, and good hours.* Opportunity to work overtime. * Extended contract. * Established working environment.* Free on-site parking.* Strong order book of work.Job Purpose: As a Paint Technician you will be responsible for both interior and exterior painting to complete vehicles, this is not restricted to rolling stock, but may involve work on other forms of public transport including trams, coaches, buses, etc. A very high skilllevel, knowledge and quality output is an essential requirement of this roll. You will work within standard operating procedures both on your own and within a team to ensure the performance and quality targets are achieved daily, and within a specific timescalefor delivery. Key Responsibilities:* to ensure your equipment is fit for purpose and operational at the start of your shift.* Liaise with your Team Leader at the start of your shift to ascertain what support is required.* Your role will mainly focus on painting but not limited to, assessment of repair, prepping of repair, application of correct media, including paint, graphics, wrap, film, etc.* The role requires the completion of any necessary paperwork and you must report any issues to your Team Leader. * To read and understand all Standard Operating Procedures and work to these without exception, unless advised by management. * Other duties will include the repairing of scratches, scuffs and dents for both interior and exterior parts. * To paint the required components to Takt times and as per customer quality specification. * Ensure the required daily workload is completed on time and to the customer and company standard.* Flexibility to support other company and client depots and departments* To carry out reasonable tasks as requested by your Team Leader/Production Manager in line with Department/Company objectives.Person Specification:* The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail. * A high skill set regarding your trade, including blow ins, surface preparation, cleaning, filling, sanding, and preparing ready for painting etc. * You should have exceptional knowledge of paint processes including new or advanced techniques. * You will be willing to develop skills to satisfy operational requirements and be able to assist with the development and training of others. * You must be able to adhere to instruction in order that tasks are performed and completed within required timescale to the quality and standard expected and required. * You will be confident working on own or as part of a team; responsible, committed, and reliable.* You will be required to work various shifts so flexibility with working hours is required.* At least 3 years experience of spray painting, including but not restricted to film application, wrap application, graphics application, polish and prep and experience and paint mixing is essential for this role. * Post paint inspection experience is also essential. * Previous experience of Right First Time and Yield Targets and previous experience of 5s are desirable for this role. * You will be highly skilled in using blow in painting techniques, polishing, prepping and painting both interiors and exterior work, within a highly restricted timeframe.* Your skill level will have to be of a standard to cope with short and restricted deadlines to cover all elements of production. You should always portray a multi skilled approach to your work.* You should always perform the necessary checks dependant on the tasks you are asked to fulfil. * You should be flexible to work additional hours if requested by your Team Leader to meet customer demand.
