Job Description

If you have experience supporting adults with mental health issues and offering crisis intervention, then I have the perfect opportunity for you.On behalf of a nationally recognised charitable provider, I am seeking crisis recovery workers to join their safe haven and crisis service in Derby.You will work with people who may be anxious, depressed, manic, self-harming or who have suicidal thoughts, and support them in developing coping strategies to deal with their crisis.You will work with external agencies including clinical professionals to secure the right support for the people in your care. You will offer tailored, person centred support and implement strategies to identify current and future triggers and risks, whilstoffering guidance and leadership relating to independent living skillsI am seeking applications from people who have excellent listening and communication skills, yet remain resilient in the most challenging of situations.An understanding of mental ill health is essential for the recovery worker role, as is at least 6 months experience in a mental health setting or in a setting that offers transferable skills (this can experience can also be through university placements)What well need from you:" Ability to work within a team." Ability to monitor and ensure the safety and security of the residents." An understanding of challenging behaviour is preferred." Must have an approachable, proactive and friendly attitude towards work."
