Job Description

Junior PBC Design Engineer£28-38K plus bonus, flexitime, life assurance, income protection, pension, 26 days holidayDerby, DerbyshireAre you an Electronics Engineer with knowledge of high speed PCB design looking for a permanent role where you can produce high end work in a niche sector and learn from a small but very experienced design team.Our client is a small, expanding Instrumentation specialist with a superb reputation with their worldwide clients and have won national awards for innovation.The role will be based in the design team who are responsible for designing PCBs for embedded systems that comprise both high-speed analogue (100MHz) and digital electronics (1-10Gbps). The role will be mainly design focused but you will also get involved with fault finding, testing and calibration work.Working in a small team, this role is highly varied and tasks will include:

  1. Assist the design team with product development work including updates and enhancements. As your skills improve you will be given extra design responsabilities
  2. Document new designs with bill of materials
  3. Fault finding of new PCBs and faulty equipment plus use of Oscilloscopes, Signal generators

  2. Working experience of electronic design including some knowledge of high speed PCB design
  3. Use of Oscilloscopes and signal generators
