Job Description

Fixed term / Secondment for 2 yearsAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Clinical Trials Data Manager (2 Years Fixed Term/Secondment) to join the UKCRC registered Derby Clinical Trials Support Unit (Derby CTSU). The Derby CTSU actively supports high quality, multi-centre studies in a variety of disease areas with UK-based and International Sponsors.At Derby CTSU we believe in improving lives by supporting high-quality, innovative research and excellent data management is essential element in achieving our vision. Reporting to the Head of Medical Statistics and Data Management, you will lead the data management of clinical trials and information systems services of Derby CTSU.You will work closely with the data managers, statisticians and trial managers to carry out a variety of data management activities including, but not limited to: helping to prepare key data management documentation (such as the DMP), the building of electronic forms for data collection, programming of logic checks, coordination and delivery of central monitoring and data cleaning activities.You will participate in the development, test, release and maintenance of validated clinical databases / eCRFs for assigned trials. You will also be responsible for setting up the study randomisation using online systems.You will be a key player in supporting the Clinical Trials Data Managers delivery of services, have oversight and timely delivery of clinical trials data and documentation according to agreed timelines and quality expectations.We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual, who will be able to work flexibly and contribute to the further improvement and development of the Derby CTSU. You will be a good team member with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and motivation for continuous personal development. You will possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience of working with electronic data
  • Experience of manipulating data / programming
  • An interest in medical research and/or IS / IT
  • Please note this position requires the post holder to travel nationally, when required. Flexible working hours and working from home is possible.This is a full time role woring 37.5 hours per week.In return we will offer:
